Art Fundamentals
Students will explore the visual world through an understanding of the fundamentals of art and design. Students will solve basic art and design problems in the medias of drawing, painting, and printing. Visual discrimination and judgment of the various art processes will be taught along with the problem solving aspects of art and design. This course requires students to purchase their own basic art supplies (all of which are available at common general retail sores); a list can be provided before enrollment. Students are also required to have access to a digital camera to photograph his/her artwork and to Paint software on their computer. Art activities on the computer will be completed in Paint and uploaded as JPEG files. Students using a MAC will need to download Soundforge PaintBrush software.
