Senior English 1 Basic

This course is designed for students who desire to improve their reading, writing, and practical English skills in order to meet English and literature competency requirements for graduation. Learners will be involved in high-interest reading selections that present a variety of cultures, and will respond in writing in both the appreciative and analytic modes to these selections. Students will demonstrate improvement of reading comprehension and vocabulary. This course will set aside a portion of each lesson (1-9) for organizing a research paper.
