What Are Timelogs?

Hope High School Online Arizona Charter School TimelogsTime logs are the way an online student “attends school.” Each week students will submit a time log that lists the hours spent working on their courses each day. What counts as time? Anything you do for your courses (online AND offline) should be listed in your time log.

For example:

  • reading your textbook
  • studying for and taking exams
  • taking and reviewing quizzes
  • handwritten assignments
  • time in the library
  • Internet research and web activities
  • completing writing assignments, science labs, enrichment activities, watching videos,
  • taking AIMS/Terra Nova tests
  • If it has to do with your course at all, you should be counting it as school time.

When are time logs supposed to be turned in?

Time logs are to be submitted at least EVERY FRIDAY. You can turn them in daily if you wish.

What if I miss a submission?

WEEK 1... you’ll get an email reminding you along with a phone call from a HHSO staff member

CONSECUTIVE WEEK 2...you will be immediately withdrawn from your course(s) and your access will be denied.

**10 consecutive days of NO time log submissions = withdrawal from HHSO**

Time should equal progress in courses. Course progress will be checked regularly by HHSO staff. Hours submitted must correlate to progress made towards course completion. If time is submitted that does NOT appear to match progress in courses, time will not be counted and absences will accrue.

What If I Am Unable To Spend The Necessary Hours Each Week?

If time turned in is LESS THAN the required hours each week, the student will be counted as ABSENT from school. Absences negatively affect education and progress toward graduation. Excessive absences may result in withdrawal from Hope High School Online. After 10 consecutive days or 18 total absences, the student will be IMMEDIATELY administratively withdrawn from Hope High School Online.

What if the form does not work?

Do not neglect turning in time if the form does not work.  If you are having trouble with the online submission form, please contact our office at 1.800.426.4952 for help.

Do I Turn in A Timelog for Every Course?

YES, submit a weekly timelog for all courses that you worked on that week.
