How does Hope High School Online communicate with parents/guardians?

While phone and email are still vital channels of communication, Hope High School Online will also communicate with parents/guardians/students through the ParentSquare platform. This platform allows HHSO staff to send/receive text messages and general newsletter posts. Our goal is to keep you informed and to continue supporting every students’ high school journey.

  • Receive updates from HHSO via email, app, or text notification
  • Choose to get posts as they’re shared or bundled in a daily digest
  • View posts, photos, calendars, and important announcements
  • Communicate in your preferred language with automatic translation
  • Comment on school posts and stay engaged with your school community
  • Send direct messages to teachers and staff

When communication is sent as a text, users will receive this just as they do any other texts to their phone. Users can reply to the text to continue the conversation with school staff.

When communication is sent as a general post, users will receive this in their email.

ParentSquare makes communication seamless through the web and/or a phone app, although this is not required.

When Users Unsubscribe or Stop Notifications

Users may stop receiving notifications in different ways, which affects how alerts appear in delivery reports.

  • Unsubscribe from Email:
Clicking Unsubscribe in an email leads the user to a screen where they can stop notifications, turning off email, text, app notifications, and School Alerts.
  • Stop Text Messages:
Replying STOP to a text opts that phone number out of future texts, regardless of Notification Settings. These numbers may appear as failed text delivery in the delivery report.
  • Resubscribe to Text Messages:
Users can text START to 66458 to receive texts again. The phone number must not be blocked.
