BLOG SERIES #4 of 5… THE DIFFERENCE – Online High School Versus Doing High School Online

  1. Be Transparent; Be Accountable

If you want something to happen, you need to have focus and intention about it. This means telling others, being explicit, writing it out on your mirror so that every morning you wake up and every evening before you go to bed, you see it; your goal, your target, your milestone. Be aware that days ebb and flow just like life and just because one day felt horrible doesn’t mean that the entire journey is a flop. It’s just one day. It will happen. That’s it. Recognize it and move on. You will still be much further along overall than you realize. Own everything. The good, the bad, the so so, the how am I ever going to recover from this, and the wish it was better and then some. Your path from day to day can be volatile and at times hard but that doesn’t last. Remember to tell yourself that this is a marathon, not a sprint. You cannot possibly make a sweeping judgment about your life based on a very small sliver of it. That would be a crime. Allow yourself some grace to be human and to mess up. We are not meant to be perfect 100% of the time because we aren’t machines, and that’s the beauty of being human.
